Blogging Just Got Easier: Cassie Daves’ Blog Planner

*Cat walks in a pair of 6 inch heels, heel gets caught in pebbles, loses balance and falls in love* *Gets up and storms in here*

Yo! Yo!! Yo!!! *acts like nothing happened* What’s up Guys? *straightens my red dress* My dramatic vibe is on a high today (it doesn’t get any more obvious than this). I know the only thing the amebos in the house are concerned about is the “falls in love” part. Let’s not get too excited okay. Can’t I fall in love with myself? Or fall in love with Jesus all over again? To be honest, I was just being extra (he he). I’ll quench your amebo thirst soon enough *winks*.

In the spirit of being real with myself and with you guys, I must say that I wasn’t happy with the efforts I put into my blog last year. I could come up with a lot of “valid” reasons why I seemed a bit laid back, but the truth is I could have tried harder. Towards the end of the year, I finally got my blog drive back, hired someone to clean this place up, sprinted in here and dropped Comebacks are More Refreshing than New Socks.

Since then, I’ve been on “para mode” (it means highly motivated. Hol’up what’s going on with me though? It seems like I’m getting razzer by the day, I need to get to the root of this asap), trying my best to post at least 1-2 times in a week and bring you good content too because that’s what is most important. Every now and then, the fear of being inconsistent comes to sit in my mind but instead of getting discouraged, I convert it to more motivation and that has really helped me. I’m also surrounded by the best people who truly care and support me (Thank you my Loves).

With all the time I’ve wasted, I can not afford to be inconsistent this year and I’ve been doing everything I can to ensure that doesn’t happen. Plus I know, or I think you guys would miss me a lot and I wouldn’t wanna do that to you *winks*. I’ve been researching and downloading apps that will help improve my blog’s content (Would you want me to write about the apps? Let me know in the comment section), as well as ‘stalk-learning’ from other bloggers (which I’m unashamed of *shrugs*). In addition to all of that, I also got a blog planner last week. Whoop! Whoop!!

Just before my comeback post, I ran into the Cassie Daves blog planner and decided I was gonna get the 2018 planner as one of my blogging tools for the new year. Before now, I do my blog posts planning and ‘scribbling’ on my phone and a jotter. There was a little bit of delay but I finally got it and even better, I got it as a gift from my boo; Ginny of Life With Geenie ( Thank you love ❤️). Please go check her blog, follow her and show her some love (for me). Thank you.

There were 4 designs for the planner and I chose a white & black design (my love for those two colors ehn).

The design I chose came in a black case, which I really like because it protects your planner and keeps it looking new…

Finally, my first flatlay on here. (Behind the scene, I’ve practiced a few times so that my first “flatlay reveal” to you guys wouldn’t be so bad *grinning*). I included Carmex because it has been my best friend this dry season, and the ring because I just got it from Miniso Lagos. Ginny and I actually got similar rings because this particular design is too cute. It’s my new favourite (I love rings and have quite a number) which is why I included it in the flatlay…

Let’s get back on track, shall we? I’m the Queen of digressing. I know, I know. So, I really love the design I went with. It’s so cute that I see myself taking it along everywhere I go irrespective of the size. Cute innit?

My favorite part of the planner so far are the Daily Blog Checklist and the Social Media Posting Schedule pages. I think they are a helpful guide in getting publicity for one’s blog. Publicity is a major challenge encountered by a lot of bloggers especially in the early phase of blogging and in my opinion, these pages help one get a hang of it at a glance.

verall, I really like the blog planner. I think Cassie Daves did a great job. I’m already enjoying putting the planner to use. Although, it’s too early to say for sure if I’ll be sticking with it next year but it looks more likely than not. Till then…

As a blogger, do you make use of a jotter, your phone or an actual planner? What planner do you use? Have you used a Cassie Daves’ blog planner before? Did you like it? Which of the designs did you get this year and what was your reason for going with the design? What is your favourite part of the planner? Do share.

Meanwhile, I can’t wait for all the amazing things this year has in store. I’m also excited to share the things I have planned for the year with you…

LET’S DO THIS! Here’s to a great blogging year!!!

P.S: This post was supposed to go up soon as I got my blog planner but I’ve been a bit under the weather as well as busy with work.
